So many best conversations,
Were in sleeping bags under the stars…
Growing pains and dreams discussed,
Along with fantasies and favorite cars.
We marveled at the universe,
And our microscopic size.
Sometimes we spied a jet plane,
Following a miracle with young eyes.
Thirty years on, in a hot tub,
I notice satellites overhead…
So many mysteries unanswered;
So many truths those nights, unsaid.
Never trust a group of males,
To agree to any truth...
Wall building starts in the early years,
Testing boundaries in our youth.
Never trust a group of males,
To agree to any truth...
Wall building starts in the early years,
Testing boundaries in our youth.
