I Wish I Wasn't A Doubter

A friend’s dog died yesterday,

The family witnessed a rainbow…

Certain it’s Fido’s farewell message;

Heaven’s tracked him on the go.

Someone lost their job today,

It was just what God had planned,

Jesus thought he wasn’t praised enough,

Making sure this man was canned.

A man thought he found true love,

God picked her he believed…

Evidently God chose more than one,

She was a cheater and deceived.

I hoped I’d see my wife in heaven,

Yet I’m still a serious doubter.

I fear there isn’t a heaven,

And I will always live without her.

(Addendum):

I prayed I'd see my dogs again...

Hopefully, again in heaven...

But chances are there's no god,

I fear I'll never see them.
