Falling

My scariest dream while wide awake,

Is teetering on a ledge…

Trying to hold myself back,

Yet still falling over the edge.

Facebook and Instagram postings,

Answer the Go-Pro camera's call,

Posing on a mile-high precipice

Risking death by a fatal fall.

Their antics give me nightmares.

The desire to be internet heroes

Often makes them craters in dust;

Soon forgotten Facebook zeros.
